Guest Post: fANNEtastic Food

Hi, FitSouffle fans! I’m Anne, a Washington D.C. area Registered Dietitian with an online/virtual nutrition counseling private practice and health/fitness blogger over at fANNEtastic food. A big thank you to Jacquelyn for having me over here today while she is traveling!

In honor of winter, I thought it would be fun to share some of my favorite nutritious but delicious soup and chili recipes with you guys. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!

6 Favorite Healthy Winter Soup & Chili Recipes

1. Chunky Turkey Vegetable Soup - This is almost a cross between a chili and a soup. It’s very satisfying and is man-approved – my husband loves it!

2. Chicken & White Bean Chili SoupAnother chili-soup cross, this is always a big hit in our house. It’s really easy to make, too!

3. Butternut Squash & Turkey Chili - This hearty and filling butternut squash and turkey chili is packed with nutrition and flavor. It freezes well, too, if you want to save some for later.

4. Homemade Minestrone Soup (vegan) – This is one of my all time favorite recipes – I make variations of this all the time because it’s so versatile! Great for using up all the random veggies in your fridge, too. :)

5. Sweet Potato Lentil Chili (vegan) – This recipe is one of the most popular on my blog! This is another recipe that freezes well for later, which is good since it makes a ton. Perfect for a chilly night when you’re looking for something comforting but not heavy.

6. Turkey, Veggie, & Barley Chili – Lastly, another old favorite and complete meal in one bowl. Barley is a whole grain, has lots of fiber, and contains 8 essential amino acids! Plus, it has a very pleasant, somewhat chewy texture. Yum!
